Daniel Seufferlein is a partner at Ackley, Kopecky & Kingery, LLP. Dan maintains a general practice, which includes but is not limited to an emphasis on real estate, estate planning and probate, and business transactional work. A large focus of Dan’s practice involves real estate and real estate related litigation, representing individuals, businesses and lending institutions.
An Iowa native, Dan graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2001 and was admitted to practice that year. Dan has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Iowa Supreme Court, the Iowa Court of Appeals, and has tried numerous cases to both judges and juries.
Dan served on the statewide board for Habitat for Humanity from 2015 to 2023. In 2013, Dan was appointed by Governor Terry Branstad to serve as the attorney representative on the Iowa Title Guaranty Division Board of Directors which oversees the Title Guaranty Division of the Iowa Finance Authority. He was reappointed by Governor Reynolds for a second term in 2019. In 2020, he was named Board President.
In 2018, Dan was appointed by the Mayor of Cedar Rapids to serve on the City Planning Commission for Cedar Rapids.

Dan is also the owner and president of River Ridge Escrow Company, a regional closing and escrow company that handles, on average, between $200 to $300 million in escrow funds annually.
